Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CalcSprint, including the website at calcsprint.com and its localized pages, the blog, the CalcSprint browser extension, and the CalcSprint mobile apps for iOS and Android. By accessing or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms.
CalcSprint is provided free of charge, without accounts, without ads, and without payments. These Terms describe how you may use the service, what you can expect from it, and the limits of our responsibility.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By using CalcSprint you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. We may update these Terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows the latest revision, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
2. What CalcSprint is
CalcSprint is a lightweight mental-math drill service. It offers short timed arithmetic challenges through the website, a blog with practice guides, a browser extension for quick popup sessions, and mobile apps for iPhone and Android. The service does not require an account, does not process payments, and does not run advertising.
3. Eligibility and use by children
CalcSprint is suitable for general audiences, including children practising arithmetic. The service does not knowingly collect personal data from children. A parent or guardian should supervise use by minors where required by local law. By using CalcSprint you confirm that you are old enough under your jurisdiction to use a free service of this kind or that a parent or guardian has agreed on your behalf.
4. Licence to use the service
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use CalcSprint for your own non-commercial mental-math practice. This licence applies to use of the website, the browser extension, and the mobile apps obtained through official stores. The licence does not transfer any ownership of CalcSprint or its content.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the service except where applicable law expressly permits;
- use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers in a way that disrupts the service;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or networks related to CalcSprint;
- use the service to violate any applicable law or third-party right;
- resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the service without prior written permission.
6. Intellectual property
CalcSprint, including its name, logo, design, source code, written content, illustrations, and overall presentation, is protected by intellectual-property laws and is owned by the CalcSprint operator or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual-property rights to you, except for the limited licence to use the service as described above. You may share short quotations from the blog with attribution and a link back to the original page; redistribution of full pages, mass copying, or republication without permission is not allowed.
7. User-provided content
CalcSprint does not require accounts and does not currently provide features that publish user-submitted content. If you contact us, the content of your message is processed only to reply to your enquiry. Do not send confidential information or material you are not entitled to share.
8. Mobile apps — Apple App Store EULA terms
The following terms apply to the CalcSprint app obtained from the Apple App Store and to use of that app on an Apple-branded device. They are in addition to the rest of these Terms.
- Parties. These Terms form an agreement between you and the CalcSprint operator only. Apple Inc. is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its contents.
- Scope of licence. The licence granted to you for the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms.
- Maintenance and support. The CalcSprint operator is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the app, as specified in these Terms or as required under applicable law. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app.
- Warranty. The CalcSprint operator is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the app (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app.
- Product claims. The CalcSprint operator, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your possession and/or use of the app, including but not limited to product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to applicable legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer-protection or similar legislation.
- Intellectual-property claims. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party's intellectual-property rights, the CalcSprint operator, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer name and contact. For questions, complaints, or claims about the app, contact contact@nadzeyayashchuk.com. The developer's address is shown on our Impressum page.
- Third-party terms of agreement. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
9. Mobile app — Google Play
The following terms apply to the CalcSprint app obtained from the Google Play store:
- These Terms form an agreement between you and the CalcSprint operator only. Google LLC is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its contents.
- Your use of the app must also comply with the Google Play Terms of Service and any other applicable Google policies.
- Distribution, billing, refunds, and store-level support are handled by Google under Google's own terms. App-level support and product responsibility remain with the CalcSprint operator.
10. Browser extension and other distribution channels
The CalcSprint browser extension is distributed through official browser extension stores (Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons, Edge Add-ons, Opera Add-ons, and similar). Each of those stores has its own terms which apply when you install the extension. The CalcSprint operator remains the developer of the extension and is responsible for its behaviour, while the relevant store handles distribution and signing.
11. Third-party links and services
The service may link to third-party websites, stores, analytics, or hosting infrastructure. CalcSprint does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. When you follow a link off-site, the terms and privacy policy of that destination apply.
12. No warranty
CalcSprint is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from inaccuracies. Your use of the service is at your own risk.
Nothing in this section limits any rights that you may have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the CalcSprint operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profit, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or rights granted to consumers in the EU/EEA that cannot be waived by contract.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the CalcSprint operator from any third-party claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
15. Termination and discontinuation
You may stop using CalcSprint at any time by closing the website, removing the browser extension, or uninstalling the mobile app. We may also discontinue or change parts of the service at any time, including removing features, blocking abusive use, or shutting down individual platforms (for example, removing the app from a store), without prior notice where reasonable.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms when the service changes, when new platforms are added, or when applicable law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We recommend re-reading this page from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence within the EU/EEA continue to apply where they cannot be derogated from by agreement. To the extent permitted by law, the competent courts at the seat of the CalcSprint operator have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. The invalid provision will be interpreted to most closely match the original intent in a valid form.
